About the Role:
Clinical Nurse Educators (CNEs) provide contemporary education and training opportunities for nursing and other direct care workforces across mental health services.
The CNE role will provide clinical supervision to Entry to Practice nurses, and learning and development support to ensure effective service delivery.
As a role model for lifelong learning, the CNE displays high-quality evidence-based approaches to education and training and demonstrates positive collaborative relationships across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provision of contemporary education and training opportunities
* Clinical supervision of Entry to Practice nurses
* Learning and development support for effective service delivery
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent formal professionally recognised qualifications in Psychiatric Nursing
* Current registration with APHRA as a Division 1 nurse
* Postgraduate Diploma or Masters in mental health nursing, AOD, education or similar
* Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (minimum education and training qualification) or working toward successful completion
* Demonstrated experience and/or interest in education, teaching and learning processes
* At least 5 years full-time experience working within mental health services
* Experience working as a trained clinical supervisor in a mental health setting
