The role
Austek Asphalt Services is seeking an experienced MC Float Driver to join our team in Yatala, Queensland. This is a full time role that will see you playing a crucial part in the delivery of our road construction and maintenance services across South-East Queensland.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain low loaders and other heavy haulage equipment
- Load and unload construction machinery unsupervised in an urban setting or remote areas
- Perform pre-start checks and basic maintenance on equipment
- Deliver equipment and materials to job sites in a timely manner
- Adhere to all safety procedures and traffic management plans
- Provide excellent customer service to our clients
Qualifications
- A valid Heavy Vehicle (MC) driver's licence
- Construction Card
- Extensive experience operating low loaders and other heavy haulage equipment
- Strong knowledge of load restraint and traffic management practices
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Commitment to safety and a proven track record of safe work practices
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to undergo and pre-employment medical assessment
