Construction Manager - Overhead Transmission Lines (OHTL)
Location: North Sydney
Salary: $300k - $350k TFR
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the delivery of multiple overhead transmission line projects across Australia, with a focus on 135kV, 330kV, and 500kV infrastructure.
This role spans the full project lifecycle from tender stage through to site execution and final delivery.
You will contribute to construction methodologies, planning, and cost inputs during bids, and as projects progress, take full ownership of on-site delivery and team leadership to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities
Actively participate in the tender phase, providing constructability input, developing construction methodologies, and contributing to planning and cost estimates.
Transition into on-site leadership during project delivery, managing all construction activities across multiple OHTL projects.
Coordinate multidisciplinary site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet project milestones.
Drive a strong HSSE culture, embedding safety and environmental awareness into all operations.
Manage project scope, ensuring variations are documented and approved before execution.
Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and consistent delivery.
Monitor cost, schedule, and productivity, implementing corrective actions where required.
About You
10+ years\' experience in construction management/supervision, with proven expertise in high voltage overhead transmission lines (135kV, 330kV, 500kV).
Strong background in civil, structural, and electrical works for major energy infrastructure.
Diploma or trade qualification (Engineering degree highly regarded).
Construction White/Blue Card and current Australian Driver\'s Licence.
Demonstrated leadership skills in both tender development and on-site project execution.
Excellent knowledge of safety and quality management systems.
