We are a small, bespoke architectural practice specialising in contemporary residential and multi-residential projects. Our work focuses on well-considered design outcomes supported by strong technical rigour and a thorough understanding of local planning controls.
We are seeking a capable and motivated Project Architect with solid local experience to join our team. Working directly with the Director, you will contribute across all project stages — from early feasibility and design development through to Development Applications, Construction Certificate documentation and construction.
Our studio is conveniently located on Sydney's North Shore, close to public transport with ample off-street parking available.
The Role
This position offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to high-quality projects within a collaborative studio environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver projects across all stages — from feasibility through to highly detailed documentation and construction
Prepare and coordinate Development Application (DA) submissions (essential)
Assist in the preparation of Construction Certificate (CC) documentation (experience preferred but not essential)
Ensure compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC)
Apply strong knowledge of SEPP, ADG, LEP, DCP controls and council requirements
Collaborate closely with the Director to realise architectural outcomes of a high standard
Coordinate with consultants, certifiers and local councils
Produce clear, accurate and well-resolved drawings and reports
Contribute strong technical knowledge and construction detailing skills to project delivery
You will work closely with the Director to ensure projects are delivered with precision, clarity and care.
Essential Requirements
Architecture qualification recognised in Australia
Minimum 3 years' experience working within the Australian planning and construction framework
Demonstrated experience preparing Development Application submissions
Strong working knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC)
Proficiency in ArchiCAD (experience in ArchiCAD 24 or later preferred)
Strong documentation and construction detailing capability
Sound understanding of Australian construction methods and practices
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively within a small team environment
Desirable (but not essential)
Experience preparing or assisting with Construction Certificate documentation
Experience on multi-residential or complex projects
