About Us:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales/Project Manager to join our growing team and drive strategic growth.

Role Overview:

This role is responsible for driving sales growth and managing service operations across the Greater Sydney Basin. It combines business development, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on project and service delivery within the wastewater industry.

The position focuses on identifying and developing new market opportunities, building strong relationships with plumbers, builders, regulators, and designers, and promoting Taylex solutions across the region. In parallel, the role manages servicing activities, holding yard operations, and vendor relationships to ensure efficient project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Success in this role requires a commercially astute, hands-on individual with strong communication skills, the ability to work autonomously, and a practical mechanical mindset. The role is ideally suited to someone with trade or technical experience seeking a long-term career in a growing and essential industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

* Identify and develop target markets within the Greater Sydney Basin
* Source, interpret, and apply strategic data to identify sales targets and growth opportunities
* Develop and implement effective sales strategies with a results-oriented mindset, generating sales and achieving agreed sales budgets
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with Plumbers, Builders, Regulators and Wastewater Designers
* Promoting the Taylex brand and solutions across the target markets
* Respond to phone and email enquiries professionally and promptly
* Action sales leads in a timely and professional manner
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the CRM system

Service & Operations

* Develop and maintain a wastewater service business
* Perform hands-on servicing of domestic and commercial wastewater treatment systems
* Manage Taylex Holding Yard inventory to align stock levels with forecasted demand
* Maintain strong working relationships with Taylex Vendors and Wastewater Specialists
* Monitor and analyse Holding Yard performance and recommend improvements

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

* Provide reports outlining sales and service activity as required
* Deliver regular updates on key milestones, risks, and issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions
* Stay informed on industry intelligence, trends, and competitor activity

Compliance & Representation

* Ensure compliance with Taylex WHS policies and site-specific WHS requirements
* Represent Taylex at industry functions, field days, trade shows, and home shows
* Stay up to date with industry developments through research and industry associations

Skills & Attributes

* Punctual, honest, and reliable
* Hands-on with strong mechanical aptitude
* Able to work autonomously and manage priorities effectively
* Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts simply
* Strategic, commercially astute, and a critical thinker
* Proven ability to build and influence strong stakeholder relationships

Knowledge & Experience

* Mechanically aptitud
* Plumbing or drainage knowledge (desirable)
* Previous experience in a technical or trade-related industry (advantageous)

* Proven experience in business development, sales, or strategic planning, preferably within the pluming or wastewater or sector.
* Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to inform decision-making.
* Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
* In-depth knowledge of local and state legislation regarding wastewater treatment.
* Experience with CRM systems and sales tools.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Mandatory Requirements

* Right to work in Australia
* Current NSW Driver's Licence
* Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)

Desirable

* Current Forklift licence holder
* Service M8
* Safety Culture

* Any technical background or experience is required for this position.
