Overview
Senior Manager – Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) and Process Improvement at Australian Red Cross. This role leads strategy execution and implementation by guiding project planning and resource allocation aligned with strategic objectives, and oversees governance over programs and projects along with the redesign and ongoing continuous improvement of business processes.
The role requires establishing and operating the Australian Red Cross EPMO, combining strategic thinking, operational expertise and strong leadership to drive project excellence and a culture of continuous improvement.
What you will do day to day
* Develop, implement and maintain fit-for-purpose Project Governance Frameworks to ensure strategic alignment and financial viability of operational and non-operational programs and enterprise-level projects.
* Ensure standardized oversight across a portfolio of projects; work with sponsors and teams to ensure decisions, solutions and implementations are assessed using a strategic and risk-based approach.
* Establish, maintain and continuously improve EPMO governance, processes, procedures and frameworks.
* Identify, mitigate and manage operational, financial, and reputational risks with sponsors, leads and managers.
* Facilitate building organizational capability in project management, change management and business process management.
* Coach, mentor and develop team members to achieve financial and non-financial outcomes.
What you will bring
* Comprehensive technical knowledge and expertise in project management and overseeing multiple complex projects.
* Understanding of workflow systems and BPMN standards.
* Resilience to manage complex relationships, influence and challenge effectively and constructively.
* Experience with project planning tools, including Microsoft Project.
* Proficient in JIRA and Confluence.
* Knowledge of waterfall and agile project management methodologies.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including facilitation and collaboration across diverse stakeholders to find solutions.
