Role type: Fixed term for 2 years. Faculty: Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology. School: School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering. Salary: Level A - $87,266 - $118,416 p.a. plus 17% super. PhD entry level A.6 - $110,319 p.a.
Overview
We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to spearhead innovative projects to recover proteins, lactose and minerals from whey, converting them into value-added products for the agri‐food sector. You will collaborate with dairy industry partners and the Dairy Innovation Hub, gaining experience in techno‐economic analysis and translating research outcomes into industrial applications.
Responsibilities
* Conduct innovative research: develop novel membrane‐based separation technologies, analyse experimental data, and prepare publications for peer‐reviewed journals.
* Collaborate and communicate: engage with industry partners, present research findings to stakeholders, and foster collaborative partnerships.
* Mentor and lead: supervise honours and postgraduate students and foster a productive research environment.
Qualifications
* PhD in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
* Expertise in membrane technology or dairy processing.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Experience supervising students or researchers.
* Track record of publication in peer‐reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
* Ability to tackle complex problems and develop novel solutions.
