Job Title: Civil Project Manager
Seeking an accomplished Project Leader to manage complex civil infrastructure projects in the Defence sector. A reputable contractor is seeking a driven project manager to oversee various Defence developments across regional New South Wales.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large-scale civil works, delivering projects on time and within budget. Strong leadership skills, commercial acumen, and knowledge of Defence specifications are essential for success in this role.
1. Job Description: Reporting directly to the construction manager, you will be responsible for leading site teams and ensuring all works meet stringent Defence standards.
2. Key Responsibilities:
o Commercial Management: Ownership of the project budget, financial forecasting, timely submission of claims, and proactive management of variations and contractual risk.
o Tier One Client Interface: Serving as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and successful coordination.
o Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensuring all works meet quality parameters and industry safety standards (WHS).
o Project Leadership: Leading and mentoring site teams to create a high-performing and safe site culture.
o Program Delivery: Developing, monitoring, and driving the project schedule to ensure key milestones and practical completion dates are achieved.
Ideal Candidate Criteria:
* A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager delivering complex civil infrastructure projects.
* Demonstrated experience managing projects within the Defence sector or similar high-compliance regulatory environments.
* Exceptional skills in contract administration, financial reporting, and managing commercial risk.
* A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
* Location: Willingness to live and work long-term in the Wagga Wagga region, with Australian Permanent Resident or Citizenship required due to security risks.
