Finance Officer - Home Care
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Officer – Home Care to join our team in Warrnambool. This role plays a vital part in supporting the day-to-day financial operations for Home Care Packages, ensuring efficient processing, compliance, and accuracy across all transactions.

* Maintain and update client Home Care Package statements, including income and expenditure transactions
* Liaise with external agencies such as Services Australia and Medicare to manage funding claims and queries
* Communicate with clients regarding balances, account matters, and unspent funds, ensuring transparency and compliance
* Collate and distribute monthly CDC (Consumer Directed Care) statements
* Process and code supplier invoices for home care services, ensuring alignment with authorisation protocols
* Reconcile income tested fees, daily care fees, client transactions and monthly ledgers
* Support the closure of care packages in accordance with government guidelines
* Assist with external audits and reporting
* Provide front-of-house finance assistance to clients and visitors at the reception area
* Carry out general finance team support duties including filing, banking, data entry and administrative tasks
* Follow all health & safety policies and workplace conduct guidelines
About You:
* Previous experience in a finance, accounting or administrative role (aged care or community services sector experience highly regarded)
* Strong numeracy and data entry skills with excellent attention to detail
* Confident communicator with the ability to liaise professionally with clients, government bodies and internal stakeholders
* Familiar with online accounting systems and MS Excel
* A proactive and organised team player who thrives in a busy environment
