Job Description
Demonstrate the “Passion for Excellence” by serving guests with flair and professionalism, ensuring their requests are promptly and efficiently fulfilled.
Provide personalised service to all guests, embodying the “Essence of Pleasure”.
Embark on French hospitality with a “can do” attitude.
Perform tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.
Maintain cleanliness and prevent cross contamination in all work areas.
Assist other departments as needed and foster good working relationships.
Support the Chef de Partie, Junior Sous Chef, Sous Chefs, Executive Sous Chef, Head Chef, and Executive Chef in kitchen operations.
Organise and operate a section of the kitchen, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
Knowledge of basic cooking methods including preparation of meats, seafood, starches, fruits, vegetables, and desserts.
Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to recipes and Sofitel F&B standards.
Report maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues.
Strive to meet departmental targets as part of the team.
Assist senior chefs with menu preparation and ensure adequate supplies for service.
Ensure all service and brand standards are maintained during shifts.
Qualifications
Qualification in Commercial Cookery.
1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong communication skills.
Professional appearance, representing the Sofitel brand.
Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays.
Passion for gastronomy and creating memorable dining experiences.
Understanding of food safety standards and HACCP.
Experience in high-volume kitchens.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
