**About the Assignment**
The Project Planner is responsible for developing, baselining, progressing and forecasting the project plans and schedules. They would review and analyze contractor schedules and progress reporting and provide the Project Manager analysis of critical path, milestone slip and recommended recovery opportunities.
The role will be required to be confidently communicate with varying stakeholders including Operations, Subsurface, D&C, HSEQ and engineering disciplines along with contractors.
A significant portion of this role will involve interfacing with Package Managers and Project Engineers from the project teams to support them in key processes. Highly developed interpersonal skills and good communication skills are required.
**Tasks include**:
**Contractor Schedules**:
- Critically review and summarize contractor Execute phase schedules for incorporation into the project master schedule.
- Provide the responsible Package Manager clear visibility of project status and forecast schedule risks or issues and recommend mitigation strategy.
- Attend contractor monthly meetings and where appropriate provide challenge to reported schedule progress and agree recovery options where key project milestones are impacted.
**Project Management Team Schedule**:
- Work with PMT member to monitor progress against the approved project plans and provide reports accurately defining the project status against the plan.
- Prepare ad-hoc schedule views for use in workshops, stakeholder meetings and presentations
**Reporting**:
- Review, assess and challenge contractor progress reporting the ensure package manager confidence in reported monthly package progress.
- Summarize contractor schedule updates into project master schedule
- Record PMT schedule progress as per agreed rules of credit and providing feedback to project team members on float and impact you logically linked successor activities.
- Publish monthly updates of project master schedule Level 0 through Level 3 including 30 day lookahead and critical path views
- Update project Progress / Performance dashboard
**This assignment is initially offered for 12 months, engaged via Chandler Macleod.**
**Location for this assignment is Perth working full-time office hours**
**About You**
- Technical qualifications such as trade certificate, related diploma or engineering degree (or similar).
- Diploma in Project Management would be desirable.
- +5 years planning experience in oil and gas industry delivering major projects is desirable.
- Significant experience in the scheduling program Primavera P6.
- Proficiency in other scheduling programs e.g. Milestones Professional and Microsoft Project would be desirable.
- Significant experience in schedule analysis and procedures such as:
- Experience and thorough knowledge of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
- Familiarity with performing critical path method (CPM) analysis and schedule trending.
- Schedule development, performance management and change control, Subsea developments, commissioning and start up planning, critical path and trending analysis.
- Progress measurement development, analysis and monitoring.
- Experience running Schedule Risk Analysis in Primavera Risk (Pertmaster) or equivalent software is preferable.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software, including MS Excel, Word, Visio, Powerpoint, experience with PowerBI would be desirable.
- Demonstrate effective communication. Articulate, confident and persuasive team member, able to motivate and communicate to achieve exceptional business performance.
- Ability to work in a team environment, to help secure understanding, ownership and commitment to project delivery.
