Introduction
We are seeking a Senior Advanced Process Control Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for the implementation of APC systems in your area.
This position is ideally located in West Perth office and will report into and work closely with the Advanced Process Control Regional Manager, AU.
You will be a part of a global team of Process Optimization.
What you'll do
* Responsible for the implementation of APC systems and advanced sensing systems, at remote sites, and possibly all over the world, until client's satisfaction is achieved.
* Monitors APC systems in his/her dedicated area from his/her office, via remote computer access to the client's sites.
* Runs training courses for customers.
* Works at office or customer's site to design, configure, install and commission APC systems hosted by the software.
* Works to design, configure and test vision systems and sound analysis systems, and at customers 'sites to install and commission the systems.
* Coordinates work with other APC engineers from the global APC team on the projects.
* Project management duties (forecast, organization, planning, communication, reporting, invoicing).
* Writes reports, project documentation and participates to writing product documentation.
* Travels frequently (both domestic and international).
* This role works closely with the Regional APC Manager to manage the client portfolio in the Asia Pacific Region.
Who you are
Essential
* Bachelors or Master's Degree or PhD in Metallurgy, Mineral processing, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering/process control, or related field.
* Technical experience in mineral processing and process control.
* Experience as APC engineer or equivalent.
* Management or supervisory ability
* Knowledge of mining industry.
* Relevant industry experience (mineral processing, possibly cement industry or other process industry).
* Very good knowledge of computer configuration and use.
* Fluency in English communications.
* Knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
* Must be self-motivated, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally up to an average of 40% of the time.
* Strong analytical/problem solving skills. Demonstrate creativity and innovation in day-to-day work.
* Ability to take direction and work as a team to solve problems and complete work for clients.
