Seeking an experienced Procurement / Purchasing Officer for a role North of Perth, starting ASAP
**Your new company**
A major Government department is seeking an experienced Procurement and Purchasing Officer to join the Procurement team. This department needs someone who can start immediately, with a requirement to work full-time hours with some flexible arrangements on offer. You will initially be engaged on a temporary basis, with view of extension if the appointment goes well.
**Your new role**
Your duties as a Procurement / Purchasing Officer will include:
- Providing advice and assistance on contract management, extensions and variations
- Assist with reporting on contract expenditure
- Raise and amend requisitions and purchase orders on the finance system
- Monitor and report on contract purchase orders
- Update contract information on TechOne and the internal CRM
- Publish and update contracts on Tenders WA
- Adhoc tasks that arise to support the wider Procurement team
**What you'll need to succeed**
In order to be considered for this role you will demonstrate proven experience within a Procurement or Purchasing position. In addition, you will display:
- Experience in handling contract amendments, variations and negotiations
- Strong IT skills with experience using TechOne or Tenders WA an advantage
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience in a Government department would be advantageous
