About this role
Sydney South West Private Hospital is seeking an experienced CSSD Technician who is self-motivated and enthusiastic. This role is a part‐time position, 24 hours a week, working with our dynamic perioperative team in a state‐of‐the‐art Central Sterilising Services Department.

The hospital houses 84 patient beds and offers a wide range of medical and acute services, including seven operating theatres, an angiography suite, 10‐bed intensive care units, a day surgery unit, mental health unit, oncology department, pharmacy and radiology services. In collaboration with accredited private specialists, we are a leader in neurosurgery, orthopaedics, ENT, general and plastic surgery, gastroenterology and endoscopy, gynaecology, bariatric surgery, urology and mental health services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Thermal disinfection, inspection, packaging and sterilisation of all instrumentation for theatres and other clinical areas.
* Comply with AS/NZ standards 4187 2014 and GENCA.
* Operate, interpret and document machinery operational requirements.
* Report and document all quality activities.
* Ensure priority of instrumentation and processes.
Previous experience in a hospital CSSD or operating theatre environment is highly regarded.
* Certificate III in Sterilisation Services or working towards.
* Endoscopy experience or willingness to learn.
* Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control practices, decontamination, packing and sterilisation processes.
* Ability to use instrument tracking systems, hospital software and conduct accurate data entry.
