Join Atlassian as a Site Reliability Engineer Intern to work on production systems, collaborate across teams, and develop skills in a leading SaaS company.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
* Work on production systems serving millions of customers worldwide, handling incidents and troubleshooting issues.
* Investigate system failures and gain deep technical knowledge in automation, monitoring, and virtualised delivery systems.
* Collaborate closely with product family and platform developers to maintain and improve services and performance.
* Engage with a variety of technologies including Apache, Nginx, Bash, Linux, AWS, virtualisation technologies, Nagios, Python, Java, Puppet, and Atlassian products.
About You
The company is looking for:
* Ability to commit to a 12-week full-time (40hrs/week) internship from November 2026 to February 2027.
* Current full-time enrolment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field, with plans to return to study after the internship and graduate by January 2028.
* Experience programming in Go, Java, Ruby, or Python.
* Strong passion for scripting to avoid repetitive work.
* Serious troubleshooting skills.
* Preferred: Proven communication skills with remote team members and an interest in industry trends including technology, methods, and tooling.
