Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role combines hands‐on technical accounting and operational finance, with accountability for month‐end close processes and the delivery of accurate, timely financial reporting across a multi‐entity structure supporting exploration activities in Australia, South America, and Namibia.
You will be working as part of a tight‐knit team with long‐term tenure in the business, located in West Leederville, short distances to public transport and cafes.
Description
* Own and manage the month‐end close process, working with the finance teams to deliver accurate reporting.
* Maintain strong balance sheet controls and reconciliations across the business.
* Manage multi‐entity consolidation and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to provide timely financial information to the CFO.
* Prepare financial and management reports and support the CFO with forecasting, cashflow insights, and financial analysis.
* Implement and monitor documented processes and internal control frameworks.
* Drive improvements in the financial controls environment and reporting processes.
* Coordinate external audit processes for half year and full year audit.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
* 7–10 years' finance experience, with at least 3 years in a senior accounting role.
* Mining/Resources industry experience is required.
* Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, financial modelling, and reporting tools.
* Australian work authorisation is required for this position.
