At Guzman y Gomez Mexican Kitchen, our mission is to reinvent fast-food. We’re Australia’s 100% preservative-free fast-food restaurant, proud of our people and the way we celebrate Mexican culture in everything we do. We opened our first restaurant in 2006 and remain obsessed with fresh food and local ingredients to serve the best fast food across breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Role: Cook
The Cook is at the heart of restaurant operations. You will be preparing fresh and delicious food, problem solving, and weighing-in with expertise on vibrant Mexican flavours. You’ll have the opportunity to utilise fresh ingredients to produce high-standard products for our recent and regular guests.
Able to work between 5.00 am to 11.00 pm
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook fresh Mexican-inspired dishes to a high standard
- Problem solve and ensure quality and consistency in every dish
- Weigh and measure ingredients accurately and efficiently
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety standards
- Collaborate with team to deliver a positive guest experience
Qualifications
- Experience is helpful, but not essential
- Open to coaching, eager to learn, and ready to put in the effort
- ‘Can do’ attitude and reliable
