Events ACT is charged with developing, delivering and marketing major and community events across Canberra, helping to make it a great place to live, explore and enjoy.
We are a dynamic team with a permanent vacancy for a skilled industry expert wishing to make a mark on our operational delivery team. You will need to be an expert at project planning, prioritisation, communication and team management as you lead the team that takes the creative direction and turns the dream into a reality. You need to be passionate about delivering event excellence safely, on time and on budget.
You need to be able to problem solve, be an agile thinker and calm under pressure. You will lead the operational team on site during events and manage all things safety including emergency response management. Your team has the responsibility to manage people, parking, power and poo, plus so much more

Eligibility/ Other requirements:
* A qualification in event or project management
* Experience in delivering large outdoor events
* Current full Australian driver's licence
* Current first aid certificate or ability to obtain
* Flexibility to work occasional public holidays, weekends or evenings during key event periods.
Note: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. Please note, this position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
