An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Learning and Development Unit at West Gippsland Healthcare Group in the role of Clinical Midwifery Educator. This is a permanent full-time position and the hours may be offered to one applicant or split across multiple applicants.
Reporting to the Learning and Development Manager, you will work within a motivated and dedicated team that provides support to the organisation over a wide range ofeducation and development services, including but not limited to, in-service education, development and delivery of training programs, competency assessments, supervision of student placements and staff development education.
We are seeking expressions of interest from motivated, experienced and enthusiastic people with a passion for learning and development to work collaboratively in providing high-quality learning opportunities, using a range of modalities that support and enable participants to practice as safe, confident and accountable professionals.
This stimulating role would suit an experienced midwife who has clinical expertise in the area of Maternity servicesandis flexible, solutions-focused, committed to quality, willing to accept a challengeandenjoys working within a teamthat is dedicated to providing great service to their client group.
Our preferred candidate will have:
Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
Extensive post-registration clinical experience in the area of Midwifery, no less than 5 years post-registration
Postgraduate qualifications in Midwifery.
Demonstrated recent clinical experience across the pregnancy and birth continuum.
Evidence of ongoing professional development.
High-level clinical skills across the continuum of pregnancy.
Knowledge of contemporary midwifery issues
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous:
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or relevant tertiary qualification in education
