About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Reservations team as a Reservations Consultant
This is a permanent full-time position based on Hamilton Island.
Reporting to the Customer Service & Sales Manager, the Reservations Consultant will be the first point of contact for our customers, assisting them with enquiries and booking their ideal experiences.
This role is based at Hamilton Island Marina and will require you to live on Hamilton Island.
Accommodation on Hamilton Island can be arranged through Cruise Whitsundays.
Rent will be processed through payroll deductions fortnightly.
You will also be responsible for paying for your own utilities.
Key responsibilities
Stay updated on Cruise Whitsundays products, timetables, and promotions.
Manage bookings via email, phone, web chat, and Custom Linc.
Process booking payments and finalise end-of-day cash ups accurately.
Finalise Quality Assurance bookings and apply promotions.
Book third-party providers and adhere to Reservations Policies and Procedures.
Prepare necessary paperwork for operations and respond to customer feedback.
About You
You have a passion for the Tourism Industry with a real commitment to delivering the best standards of customer service.
You are self-motivated, competent, adaptable with an eye for detail and demonstrate exceptional administration and sales skills.
To be successful in this role, you will have/be the following:
Strong Customer Service and Sales Skills
Proficient with MS Office and general administrative skills
Confident with the use of technology and communication devices
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Ability to multi-task competing priorities and a solution-based problem solver
High energy, motivated team player
High attention to detail and high standard of delivery
Familiar with Customlinc or similar reservation platform (desirable)
Minimum 1 year's customer service/sales experience
Hamilton Island based Consultants: Driver's License (desirable)
Certificate II in Tourism or Business Admin (desirable)
