Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Commercial Site Manager to lead the delivery of a major commercial project in the Tamworth region for our client.
About our Client: Thomas McWilliam represents a trusted industry leader in Commercial Construction. Our client is a multi-award-winning commercial construction company that has been operating in the Central West and beyond for over 25 years, delivering diverse commercial projects from $5M to $35M for Government, Commercial, and Local Council sectors across regional NSW.
About the Role: As the Site Manager, you will support the project team with day-to-day operations and supervise the on-site progress of the project. Your responsibilities will include managing staff and subcontractors, ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget.
This position is strictly on-site in the Tamworth region in NSW, and we encourage applications from local candidates, those willing to commute from surrounding areas or relocate for the project duration.
About You:
Experienced in working on commercial construction sites in Australia of similar size and scope, with a strong understanding of the Australian Building Codes.
Proven background in site management or a similar role within the construction industry.
Experienced in managing stakeholder relationships, keeping subcontractors and employees accountable, and fostering strong local connections.
Relevant trade qualifications and a 'boots on the ground' type of attitude
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Excellent organisational and time-management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
Good understanding of construction processes, budgeting, safety protocols, and regulations.
Australian Citizenship and an unrestricted driver's license.
