Insurance Repair Estimator
This is a key role within our organisation where you will be responsible for assessing and costing insurance repairs with accuracy and professionalism.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of building and carpentry, as well as experience in insurance estimation or a similar field. A building trade qualification or willingness to complete one would also be beneficial.
* Assess damage at properties and meet with owners to discuss repair options
* Prepare clear and detailed scopes of work and insurance repair quotations
* Create precise desktop estimates from client-provided scopes
* Produce comprehensive building assessment reports, including cause of damage and defects
* Break down repair costs, including materials, labour and subcontractors
* Work closely with supervisors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing
* Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering
* Prepare professional submissions with accurate cost breakdowns and supporting documentation
* Maintain meticulous digital records using various platforms
