Role Specifics
Conduct comprehensive commercial reviews of bid documents, delivering proposed risk mitigation strategies aligned with our OBM process and Project Control Systems.
Contribute to the design and refinement of detailed commercial management plans.
Facilitate thorough commercial, contract, and risk handovers to project delivery teams, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer.
Develop and implement commercial and risk review schedules for assigned projects, actively leading all project review sessions within the business unit.
Oversee the preparation and review of contractual claims related to time and delay, ensuring accuracy and compliance prior to submission.
Provide strategic advice, support, and guidance to project delivery teams to enhance commercial outcomes.
Drive the development of a highly effective, skilled, and empowered commercial team alongside fostering a commercially astute project management group.
A proactive and results oriented mindset, underpinned by a strong commitment to achieving organisational objectives.
Comprehensive knowledge of the Australian civil construction industry and its commercial environment.
Advanced financial, legal, and commercial expertise to inform strategic decision making.
Substantial experience in contracts management, including the resolution of contract disputes.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective stakeholder engagement at all levels.
A high level of self‑motivation, accountability, and the ability to operate autonomously within a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in Construction Law, Contract Law, Law, Project Management, or related fields
* Demonstrated industry experience in Civil Construction, with particular emphasis on roading projects
