Key Role
The role of a Community Engagement Officer is to build and expand partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations. This position focuses on fostering strong relationships that amplify the mission.
* Develop and execute detailed account plans to engage schools and community organizations.
* Work closely with the Schools and Youth Engagement team to ensure aligned actions that support the organization's objectives.
* Foster ongoing communication with internal and external stakeholders to integrate new partnerships into campaigns and initiatives.
* Engage with key school and community leaders daily, managing strategies and partnerships to enhance involvement with programs.
* Lead the strategy and execution of initiatives within schools and community groups.
* Build relationships with school and community leaders to enhance involvement and drive deeper engagement with the program.
* Contribute to the achievement of financial and participant targets for key campaigns.
Essential Skills
A career in education or a similar field has given you a deep understanding of the schooling system and how your work can connect into the curriculum. You can demonstrate experience in identifying, building, and growing strategic partnerships and fostering key relationships for sustainable mutual benefit.
* 5+ years in Business Development experience.
* Experience in Charity and Fundraising Sector.
* Building and leading effective teams.
* Experience with working across the Australian Church landscape.
* Background in working within or in partnership with the educational sector.
* Familiarity with working within a matrix organization and influencing staff outside of direct reporting channels.
* Strategic planning and financial management capability.
