We are seeking a skilled Group Financial Accountant to join a leading retail company based in Western Sydney. This role will involve financial reporting, compliance, and supporting the organisation's group accounting and finance operations.

Description
* Prepare and review financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards.
* Manage month-end and year-end financial close processes.
* Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax reporting requirements.
* Reconcile balance sheets and maintain accurate accounting records.
* Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support decision-making.
* Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for audits and financial reviews.
* Monitor and improve internal controls and accounting procedures.
* Provide support for ad-hoc finance projects and initiatives as required.
Profile
The successful candidate should have:
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Professional accounting qualifications (CA or CPA preferred).
* Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
* Experience consolidating financial results for multiple business entities.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
* Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders effectively.
* Previous experience in an ASX listed environment is highly regarded.
