Job Overview
As a securitisation trust accountant, you will play a vital role in managing the bank's securitisation activities. Your responsibility will be to ensure timely and accurate RMBS transactions while maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
* Portfolio Management: You will handle internal and external securitisation activities to meet business objectives.
* Trust Management: You will perform daily and month-end activities and resolve issues efficiently.
* Asset Pool Optimisation: You will prepare and review allocations and transfers to maximise returns.
* Financial Preparation: You will calculate trust distribution waterfall and funding costs accurately.
* Record Keeping: You will maintain accurate financial records and prepare statements as required.
* Transaction Processing: You will ensure timely and accurate RMBS transactions to meet deadlines.
* Tax Assistance: You will assist with tax preparation and filing to ensure compliance.
* Facility Management: You will manage trust facility processes and documentation effectively.
* Stakeholders: You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve mutual goals.
* Investor Reporting: You will prepare and deliver reports to investors on time.
* Counterparty Engagement: You will ensure data integrity with trustees and rating agencies.
* Operational Monitoring: You will review daily operations and meet contractual obligations.
* Compliance: You will ensure legal and prudential requirements are met at all times.
* Project Support: You will assist the CFO and Treasurer with key projects.
* Quality Assurance: You will maintain a risk management framework to ensure smooth operations.
* Investor Communication: You will address inquiries and issues related to RMBS trust accounts.
About You
We are seeking a highly motivated professional who is passionate about their career. The ideal candidate will bring:
* Relevant tertiary education (e.g. business / accounting / economics / finance degree)
* 5+ years of experience in within banking, treasury, or finance
* Demonstrated experience in a securitisation role within financial services is highly desirable
* A strong understanding of securitisation and trust manager responsibilities
* Excellent client management skills and experience
* Advanced Excel skills (pivots, v-lookups, complex formulas, VBA)
* The ability to manage time effectively, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adhere to strict deadlines
* Strong problem-solving skills and technical mindset
* An analytical thinker with financial acumen, excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure
