About the Role
The Country Fire Authority (CFA) is seeking an experienced ServiceNow System Administrator to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our enterprise ServiceNow platform. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an organisation that supports frontline emergency response and volunteers across Victoria.
As a ServiceNow System Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, configuration and support of CFA's ServiceNow environment. Your work will ensure the platform remains secure, stable and reliable, supporting critical corporate and operational functions such as incident management, workforce management, training, asset management and volunteer engagement.
You will configure and maintain workflows, forms, automations and integrations using standard ServiceNow tools, troubleshoot and resolve platform issues promptly and drive continuous improvement across the system. Working closely with ICT and key business stakeholders, you will ensure the platform meets CFA's technical, security and governance requirements.
About You
Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following
* Experience administering ServiceNow in a production environment, including configuration of ITSM processes (incident, problem, change, knowledge, request) that match operational requirements.
* Experience managing ServiceNow upgrades, patches and changes across multiple environments, including planning, testing, defect resolution and ensuring platform stability and availability.
* ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and ITIL v4 Foundation certification, or equivalent qualifications that demonstrate capability in platform administration and ITSM practices.
* Capability to configure ServiceNow components such as ACLs, roles, catalogue items, workflows, notifications, SLAs, business rules, UI policies and basic scripted elements that support day-to-day administration.
* Experience maintaining data accuracy and CMDB structures, and supporting integrations using tools like Integration Hub, MID Server or API-based connections.
* Ability to work effectively in environments where continuity, availability and timely issue resolution are essential and to communicate technical information clearly to ICT teams, operational staff and external partners.
Additional highly regarded capabilities:
* Additional ServiceNow certifications (such as ITOM, HRSD or SPM) that strengthen capability across modules used or planned within CFA.
* Experience using JavaScript or Glide API for minor system enhancements, troubleshooting or configuration support.
