Position Details:
St Bernard’s Primary School is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Primary school teacher to teach our Year 5/6 class for the remainder of 2025. This full-time temporary position is due to leave replacement, with a possibility of extension into 2026. The school has 96 students from 3-year-old Kindy through Year 6, with small, composite classes.
Located in Kojonup, about 255km south of Perth and 150km north of Albany, Kojonup is a vibrant rural community with excellent sporting and community facilities. St Bernard’s is a friendly, supportive, and community-focused school with active parental support and collegial staff.
The curriculum includes specialist areas such as Visual Arts/Drama, Science, Physical Education, and Auslan. The school emphasizes Literacy and Numeracy, integrating learning technologies and an inquiry-based approach from Year 1 to Year 6, including hands-on learning at the on-site Bush School.

Supportive of the Catholic ethos and active in the Catholic Faith.

Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
Ability to differentiate teaching to meet diverse student needs.
Competence in collecting and analyzing student data, especially in Literacy and Numeracy.

Ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and the community.
Qualifications Required:
Relevant 4-year tertiary qualification in Primary Education.
Accreditation to Teach Religious Education or the ability to achieve it is highly desirable.
Current registration with the Teachers Registration Board of WA (TRBWA).
