The Role
The Isa Surface Operations Department provides a service of handling Bulk Materials, to various operating departments across the Mount Isa Mines lease, handling over 300 products on site. Close liaison with our customers and our operators is a requirement to see the necessary support provided using our fleet of Dump Trucks, Kress Haulers, Loaders, Graders, Forklifts, Watercarts and Dozers. This position is residentially based in Mount Isa and reports to the Isa Surface Fleet Superintendent.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Coordinating personnel and equipment requirements to enable safe production to be achieved is key to this role
Maintaining high level of safety, with a focus on meeting production demands
Leadership and time management skills and the ability to communicate at all levels within the business
Reporting and following up on mobile fleet maintenance with the workshop
Coordinate contractors to see road and rail products deliveries to and from site are safely completed
Knowledge of concentrator and smelting product requirements to support our customers
You will have the following skillset and attributes:
Ability to communicate at all levels, working well within a team environment or with minimal supervision
Flexible attitude and sound work ethic and the ability to achieve results within the specified time frame
Previous experience in leading a Heavy Mobile equipment team.
S1, 2 & 3
HR truck license and forklift ticket would also be an advantage
Sound knowledge of Microsoft software
Valid manual driver's license
Flexible attitude and sound work ethic
Excellent time management skills and the ability to achieve results within the specified time frames
Crew safety adherence as per site standards and Procedures
