Our client is a well-established Chartered Accounting practice that continues to grow organically and has a newly created role in their 'Agri' team which primarily specializes in accounting and advisory services for agribusiness. They pride themselves on developing and fostering longstanding relationships with their clients and providing personalised advice. This is not a pressure‐cooker environment. While they have a professional approach and high standards, employees do not work overtime and are provided with flexible working hours and autonomy to service a broad portfolio of clients.
As a Senior Accountant, you will be working directly with clients and managing jobs from start to finish. This position will be looking after some of the firm's key clients. You will be supported by the Partners, and due to their flat structure, you will have plenty of people to bounce ideas off.
Key responsibilities
* Preparing annual financial statements and tax returns for various primary industry clients
* Liaising directly with clients and relevant stakeholders on compliance matters
* Preparing monthly management accounts for select clients
* Advising clients on their accounting systems
* Responding to client queries
* Assisting the managers with higher level jobs
Skills and experience required
* 3+ years experience within a Chartered Accounting environment
* Exposure to farming clients is preferred
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills suitable for a client‐facing position
