**The Role** 
Based in JC2SPO, the role is part of the Governance team that provides advice in relation to a range of governance, assurance and audit activities that supports the SPO at the operational and strategic level in delivery of SPO objectives. The role offers opportunities to be engaged in work across the SPO which will require developing an understanding of our Projects and Products and active pursuit of ongoing self-improvement and career development is expected.
The role works under broad direction to manage key stakeholder relationships and achieve outcomes in relation to SPO governance, performance reporting, SPO risk management, and internal SPO assurance and audit functions that assure the Director that the SPO is achieving its Mission and Priorities in an accountable and defensible way.

About JC2SPOThe Joint Command and Control Systems Program Office (JC2SPO) is responsible for the acquisition, integration and sustainment of command, and control warfare systems for the Australian Defence Force across the country and in operational theatres overseas.
JC2SPO acquires and sustains joint-information warfare capabilities that are mission critical to all three services of the Australian Defence Force. JC2SPO is responsible for the delivery and sustainment of Joint Data Networks, and Command Support Systems. 
- Excellent written, verbal communications and stakeholder engagement skills. 
- Strong understanding of Commonwealth legislative and Defence compliance requirements, or the ability to quickly acquire this. 
- Ability to assess and contribute to the development of governance frameworks, such as assurance, compliance, performance reporting, and/or risk management. 
- Ability to monitor, document, and implement policies and procedures. 
- Ability to plan for and deliver continuous improvement.
