We're currently seeking a full-time
Workforce Development Consultant
based in Wollongong to support our sites at Wollongong, Shellharbour and Corrimal. This role is focused on engaging and supporting local employers to meet their workforce needs, playing a vital part in OCTEC's service delivery.
About the Role
Reporting to the National Employer Services Manager, the Workforce Development Consultant (WDC) will lead efforts to develop partnerships of trust with local employers across a range of industries. Your work will involve understanding the specific needs of each employer and providing tailored solutions while facilitating employment and work experience placements. Your efforts will directly contribute to connecting local job seekers with employment opportunities within the community by leveraging OCTEC's tools and support packages, including our Biz Support services
Key responsibilities:
Engaging with local small and medium sized employers about their vacancies, workforce development, and work experience opportunities
Supporting employers through OCTEC's tailored services and programs
Building and maintaining strong relationships with local community and industry stakeholders
Supporting multiple sites within your local employment region.
What we're looking for:
Self-motivated individuals with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with local employers and community members at all levels
A genuine interest in supporting local businesses and creating employment opportunities within the community
Experience in jobactive, DES, sales, recruitment or related industries (highly desirable).
