About the Role
We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to assist a male participant based in Verges Creek.
This role offers flexible working days and hours, making it ideal for someone seeking adaptable shifts.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day support tailored to the participant’s needs
* Assist with personal care and daily living activities (as required)
* Support community access and social engagement
* Promote independence, wellbeing, and routine
* Maintain clear communication with the participant, family, and care team
* Complete accurate progress notes and documentation
About You
* Calm, patient, and compassionate approach
* Reliable and flexible with availability
* Ability to adapt to varying support needs
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Respectful of participant dignity, choice, and independence
Minimum Requirements & Skills
* Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Aged Care, or related field (preferred but not mandatory)
* Current First Aid & CPR certification
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Current National Police Check
* Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
* Registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance preferred)
Skills & Experience
* Experience supporting individuals with physical, intellectual, or psychosocial disabilities (preferred)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patient, empathetic, and genuinely passionate about supporting others
* Understanding of disability rights, the NDIS, and person-centred approaches to care
* Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays
