Milestones Early Learning Smithfield, located in sunny Cairns, Nth QLD, is looking for a Qualified Early Childhood Teacher for a full-time contract.

About the Centre:

Open from 6.30am - 6.30 pm Milestones Early Learning Smithfield offers the Life Long Learning Curriculum to children aged 0-5 years. Rated Meeting and offering a free Kindergarten-approved program. Located close to local schools and community hubs, our centre is a trusted choice for families seeking a meaningful start to their child’s learning journey.

We’re proud to be a culturally and linguistically diverse centre, with families from all over the world and educators who speak languages including Japanese, Mandarin, Spanish, Tagalog, Cook Islander, Kalaw Lagaw Ya, and Creole. This rich diversity creates a welcoming environment where every child feels seen and supported.

Our engaging indoor and outdoor play spaces, veggie garden, and sustainability initiatives help spark curiosity and care for the world around them. About the Role

- Motivate and lead a team of educators in the Kindy room.
- Develop a lifelong love of learning through child-led enquiries, connections to our local primary school and positive experiences within our community.
- Design, implement and evaluate educational programs for our children, allowing for the unique and individual interests and strengths of each child.
- Support the centre to Meet/Exceed the National Quality Standards.

About You

- An Early Childhood Degree or ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification
- Relevant teachers’ registration (if applicable)
- A current Working with Children’s Check or willing to obtain
- Current first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) or willing to obtain
- A strong commitment to fostering the growth and development of young minds
