About The Role
We are building our team of casual Water Metering Technicians for upcoming projects. The position offers consistent full‐time hours (38+ hours per week) and the possibility to become permanent.
We seek individuals who are independent, team‐oriented, and eager to learn.
What You'll Be Doing – A Day in the Life
* Check your schedule each morning.
* Head out to site.
* Attend approximately 30+ residential or commercial properties per day.
* Perform field metering activities including installing/replacing meters, installing/replacing data loggers and completing metering investigations.
* Accurately record meter specifications and site data using a mobile app.
* Log each completed job on our mobile app before moving to the next.
Key Responsibilities
* Water meter replacement & assembly maintenance.
* Follow correct replacement procedures.
* Customer service – face‐to‐face and phone.
* Perform tasks within budgets and time frames.
* Communicate regularly with office support team.
* Maintain accurate and timely digital job installation records.
* Ensure that all tasks are performed in a manner consistent with state and company OH&S policies and procedures.
* Work independently day to day and to a schedule.
About You
* Strong mechanical aptitude – proficient with hand tools.
* A positive attitude, strong work ethic with a willingness to learn.
* An aptitude for problem solving.
* Attention to detail – data accuracy is essential.
* Reliable, punctual, and capable of meeting deadlines.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* The ability to work under supervision both individually and occasionally in a team setting.
* Able to do a lot of bending, squatting and walking (moderate degree of physical fitness).
* Ability to work in most weather conditions.
* Flexible and comfortable with daily travel.
* A current driver's licence.
* A red/white card.
