About the Role
As aSmall Business Lending & Coaching Manager, you'll use your financial skills and relationship experience to help clients start, stabilise, and grow viable small enterprises.
You will:
Assess and support business viability– guide clients through business planning, cashflow management, and financial literacy.
Coach clients through the start-up journey– helping them make sound commercial decisions and build long-term capability.
Provide responsible lending support– assist clients with microfinance applications and loan management, applying sound credit principles.
Build trusted relationships– engage with local business networks, Indigenous leaders, and community organisations to identify and support potential clients.
Monitor and report on portfolio performance– using our CRM and established frameworks to manage business journeys and outcomes.
All tools of trade are provided, including a laptop, phone, and vehicle for regional travel.
Intraregional travel is an essential part of the role.
Who We're Looking For
You'll bring a strong background in business, finance, or accounting — and a heart for helping people succeed.
You may have experience as:
Abusiness bankerorcommercial lender
Asmall business accountant or advisor
Abranch or relationship managerin financial services
Afinancial coachorenterprise development advisor
And you'll demonstrate:
Sound understanding of small business finance, cashflow, and risk
Excellent relationship and communication skills
Commercial judgement and a practical, problem-solving mindset
Ability to work independently and travel across the region
Empathy, patience, and respect for people from diverse backgrounds — including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
