In this role, you'll:
Be working as part of the Customer & Mobility Analytics & Insights function, leading the delivery of high-quality reporting and analytics that inform operational and strategic decision-making across Transport for NSW. Positioned at the centre of data, insight and stakeholder engagement, you will ensure critical information is accurate, timely and actionable.
Oversee the delivery of regular, urgent and ad hoc reporting, including high-profile requests supporting executive, media and ministerial needs. You will translate complex data into clear, decision-ready insights that support organisational priorities and public accountability.
Partner closely with stakeholders across the business to understand evolving reporting needs, shaping frameworks, dashboards and outputs that improve visibility, performance tracking and customer outcomes.
Drive continuous improvement by enhancing reporting processes, optimising data visualisation and embedding automation to deliver greater efficiency, scalability and reliability.
Lead and coordinate matrixed teams across analytics, data engineering and business units, ensuring alignment, prioritisation and effective delivery in a fast-paced environment.

About you
You're an experienced, pragmatic and outcome-focused analytics and reporting leader who turns data into actionable insights to inform decisions and deliver better outcomes for customers and communities. You have:
• Extensive experience in SQL programming and scripting for data extraction, manipulation and metadata management.
• Proven technical expertise in analytics tools and techniques to deliver innovative and scalable reporting solutions.
• Demonstrated experience in metric and report development, including defining and validating business aligned measures.
• Proficiency with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, PowerBI or AWS QuickSight.
• Experience leading coordination across planning, design, governance, engineering and release management functions to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of reporting and analytics services.
• Strong track record of delivering reporting solutions in complex, fast-paced environments, balancing competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and quality under pressure.
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders, able to communicate complex information clearly and influence decisions through evidence-based insights.
• Experience enhancing reporting frameworks, driving automation and improving data visualisation to deliver scalable, user-focused solutions.
