Holbrook Landcare Network is a Not-for-Profit community organization based in southern NSW, with a 35-year history of managing sustainable agriculture and natural resource projects. Its goal is to be a dynamic, member-driven, nationally recognized, financially stable organization that enhances environmental and sustainable agriculture outcomes in the high rainfall mixed farming zone of southern NSW.
The Project Manager - NRM position involves working with the HLN NRM team to innovate, coordinate, and implement projects aimed at improving environmental outcomes within farming systems in the Murray region. This role offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate with leading farmers, researchers, and industry experts to promote environmental stewardship on farms.
Responsibilities include: Leading the HLN NRM team to deliver activities that engage land managers and support evidence-based land management and conservation practices. Activities include field days, workshops, demonstration sites, research, extension materials, and one-on-one engagement. Collaborating with farming and Landcare communities to identify regional needs and opportunities. Building partnerships with funding agencies, industry professionals, and the community to develop the region's NRM strategies. Developing project proposals by sourcing ideas, establishing partnerships, defining scope, consulting stakeholders, and securing funding. Managing project delivery, including budgeting, planning, milestone achievement, team management, reporting, and communication materials. Supporting the CEO in monitoring budgets, supporting staff, and reporting to funders and the community. Assisting with the delivery of Local Landcare coordinator services within the HLN footprint. Performing other duties as required.
