How you will make contributions that matter:
1. As an experienced Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Category Plans for Packaging.
2. You will manage sourcing strategies to deliver the highest levels of product quality and service for the business and joint ventures, including business continuity plans and secondary sources of supply.
3. Our Procurement team supports the business as a strategic, value-adding function working to optimise the supply of goods and services while managing potential risks.
4. You will be part of a larger Procurement team passionate about the company and industry, engaged and respected by the business, striving for excellence as commercial advisers.
About you
This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a unique ability to combine strategic thinking with operational execution, joining us on a 12-month contract. You will also possess the following:
* Direct procurement experience in Packaging and Ingredients, ideally in a large, complex organisation.
* Experience managing categories specific to FMCG or general manufacturing will be highly regarded.
* Strong commercial acumen with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* A customer-centric approach with the ability to manage vendor relationships effectively.
* Negotiation skills, risk identification, and the ability to apply market intelligence to make informed decisions.
* Solid understanding of procurement methodologies and end-to-end tender processes.
* Experience with SAP and Ariba is preferred.
* Tertiary qualification in Business or a related field is desirable.
