We are seeking an enthusiastic SRF Diploma Educator to join our team at Pakenham Springs Children's Centre .
At Pakenham Springs Children’s Centre, we foster a love of learning through play-based experiences that encourage children to discover, create, improvise, and imagine. Our environment is safe, stimulating, and designed to promote creativity and curiosity.
We believe every child is a successful, competent, and capable learner. Educators provide opportunities for children to lead their own play through exploration and experimentation, while supporting them to take considered, age-appropriate risks. This approach helps children build confidence, collaborate, and communicate effectively with peers and adults.
School Readiness Funding is additional funding provided by the Department of Education to address educational disadvantage. This is achieved through building the capacity of educators and families to respond to children’s learning and development.
As an additional educator within the group, you will support the environment, educators and children by providing individualized support, reinforcing learning experiences, and fostering a nurturing environment to enhance each child's development and engagement.
This Diploma Educator position offers 10 hours per week, with shifts on Monday and Friday (5 hours each day).

About you
* You hold a Diploma in Early Childhood or equivalent ACECQA approved qualification
* You're reflective, curious and purpose-led, with a deep commitment to making a difference.
* You're open to learning and understanding the unique needs of every child.
* You're a critical thinker and collaborative team member.
* You have a drive to grow and improve continually.
* You value kindness and respect.
* You have great knowledge of the child safe standards and early childhood regulations.
* You hold a WWCC and a first aid certificate.
Experienced in supporting and working with children with diverse needs is desirable.

About the role
* Work alongside the team to provide tailored support and accommodations to meet individual needs, ensuring an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all children.
* Build and maintain positive and meaningful relationships with children, families, staff and the local community
* Be a motivated and driven Educator, who will actively contribute to the program, through detailed observations & documentation
* Build positive behaviour guidance strategies and provide spontaneous play-based learning experiences to extend on children's learning
* Contribute to a child safe environment ensuring standards are met on a daily basis
* Make regular brief reflections about how your work contributes towards the service goal/intentional area of support.
