The opportunity awaits a senior consultant to join our Perth office, leveraging technical expertise and proven skills to support clients with sound statutory and strategic urban planning advice. This role will contribute to high-impact land use planning policy projects primarily for public sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and lead strategic land use planning projects, including growth strategies, precinct plans, and employment housing studies, supporting technical inputs.
* Provide high-quality planning analysis and advice informed by current government policies, regional, and local priorities, as well as stakeholder needs.
* Collaborate with internal and external multidisciplinary teams, including specialists in economics, urban design, transport infrastructure, and advisory community planning, and stakeholder engagement.
* Prepare and review reports, presentations, and public-facing documents, communicating complex planning concepts clearly and persuasively.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
* Coach and develop individuals and teams appropriately.
About You
* You hold tertiary qualifications in urban, regional, or town planning-related disciplines.
* Ideally, you have at least 3 years' experience in an urban planning role.
* Strong knowledge of strategic planning legislation and ideally gained from consultancy or local/state government environments.
* Proficient appreciation and understanding of strategic policies and processes, as well as their influences.
* Proficient appreciation and understanding of impacts and issues affecting land use development.
