Remuneration: $35.84 - $36.96 per hour + superannuation + salary packaging

About the Role

As the Waitlist Support Officer, you'll play a key role in supporting the efficient scheduling of elective surgeries and ensuring patient care remains at the centre of all we do.

Responsibilities

* Coordinate theatre dates for elective surgery patients.
* Manage short‑notice cancellations and fill vacant slots efficiently.
* Communicate with surgeons and patients to arrange appropriate surgery dates.
* Support the Waitlist Co‑ordinator and collaborate with the wider admissions team.

About You

* Previous experience in waitlist management or hospital admissions.
* Reliable, honest, and hardworking.
* Communicate clearly and professionally with patients and clinicians.
* Adapt easily to changing workloads and shifting priorities.
* Work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* While experience in a hospital setting is essential, we provide hands‑on training and ongoing mentoring.


Eligibility

An eligibility list will be created for future permanent part‑time and temporary part‑time vacancies. To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable local candidate is identified for the position; in this instance, you may only be offered employment in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa. We are unable to accommodate visa sponsorship for applicants requiring a visa for this position.
