Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Specialist Cardiologist to join our team at Lismore Base Hospital. As a Senior Specialist Cardiologist, you will be responsible for providing contemporary comprehensive specialist cardiology services to patients in our primary facility and other facilities as required.
Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality clinical care to patients with complex cardiac conditions
* Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including echocardiography, angiography, and cardiac catheterization
* Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures
* Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and provide educational programs for clinicians across multiple disciplines
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* A degree in medicine from a recognized university and registration as a specialist cardiologist with the Medical Board of Australia
* Demonstrated recent clinical experience in cardiology, preferably in a hospital setting
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Ability to work independently and make sound judgments in complex situations
* Commitment to continuing education and professional development
