We are seeking a full-time Group Purchasing Officer as part of our Support Office Team. This role is based on-site at our Distribution Centre in Dandenong and reports to the DC Inventory & Product Category Manager. Why join Bowens? Opportunity to build a career and take up different development opportunities Innovative approach and the potential to leave a legacy within the business Your duties will include but are not limited to: Coordinate central purchasing of pine across the Bowens network with the support of the DC Inventory & Product Category Manager Monitor and maintain stock levels at the Distribution Centre in line with Company sales forecasts/demand. Support and assist import program to maintain optimum inventory requirements Analyse inventory performance and provide recommendations Assist in the management and administration of supplier agreements Assist researching and conducting regular competitor price comparison analysis by range. Prepare and maintain regular reporting, including end-of-month reporting and analysis Receipt Goods into Distribution Centre About you: Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory control. Strong Excel skills and a highly analytical approach to problem-solving. Timber or industry experience is advantageous but not essential Strong time management, organisational skills and high attention to detail.
