Role Description

This is a part‐time, on‐site Medical Receptionist role based in Thornlands, QLD. As the welcoming first point of contact for our clients, you'll greet visitors warmly, manage check‐in and check‐out, and help the clinic run smoothly day to day. Your responsibilities will include answering and directing phone calls, managing appointment scheduling, maintaining accurate client records, processing payments and handling basic billing queries, coordinating with our physiotherapists and team, and keeping the reception and waiting areas tidy and welcoming. You'll also help with incoming correspondence, updating patient information, and general administrative tasks.

Don't worry if you haven't done everything before, on‐the‐job training is straightforward and we'll support you every step of the way. A positive attitude and a friendly manner matter just as much to us as experience.

What We're Looking For

* A warm, professional phone manner, with the ability to handle enquiries, take messages, and triage calls with care.
* Good appointment scheduling and calendar coordination skills (or the willingness to learn, we'll show you the ropes).
* Confidence with core front‐desk duties like client check‐in and general administrative support.
* Solid computer skills, including comfort with email, basic office applications, and practice management or booking software.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a calm, respectful, and customer‐focused approach.
* Strong attention to detail, good organisation, and reliability in handling confidential patient information.
* Familiarity with medical terminology or an allied health environment is a bonus, and previous experience in healthcare, physiotherapy, or medical reception is a plus, but not essential.
