Job Description
The SAP S/4HANA QM Functional Consultant is responsible for implementing, designing, configuring, and supporting the Quality Management module within SAP S/4HANA. The consultant works closely with business users, process owners, and technical teams to deliver robust quality processes across procurement, production, and delivery operations.
Location: NZ/Australia
Key Responsibilities
* Gather and analyze business requirements related to quality processes across the manufacturing, procurement, and sales cycle.
* Design end‐to‐end SAP S/4HANA QM solutions including Quality Planning, Quality Inspection, Quality Notifications, Quality Certificates, Results Recording, Usage Decision.
* Map business processes to SAP QM functionalities ensuring best practices.
* Perform configuration of SAP QM in S/4HANA including:
* Inspection plans, sampling procedures, MICs
* Inspection lot creation and processing
* Defect recording and notifications
* QM in procurement, production, and sales
* Collaborate with MM, PP, PM, SD, EWM and other functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
* Configure QM integration with:
* Procurement (QM in MM)
* Production processes (QM in PP)
* Batch management
* EWM/QM integration for warehouse inspections
* Create functional specifications, test scripts, and validation documents.
* Conduct Unit Testing, SIT, UAT, and support cut‐over activities.
* Support data migration for QM master and transactional data.
* Work with ABAP developers for RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Extensions, Conversions, Forms, Workflows)
Required Skills & Experience
* Minimum 10 years of SAP QM experience, with at least 2 full-cycle S/4HANA implementation.
* Strong knowledge of:
* Inspection types
* Quality notifications (Q1, Q2, Q3, etc.)
* Batch management and batch determination
* In-process and final inspections
* Supplier quality management
* Certificates and DMS
* Experience and understanding of Fiori apps related to S/4HANA QM.
* Ability to write functional specs for enhancements, forms, and interfaces.
* Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work in Agile or Waterfall project environments.
* Proactive, structured, and able to work independently.
