About The Role
Help aHead Caringbah is an integrated, person-centred hub connecting mental health, alcohol and other drug services, physical health and psychosocial supports.
As a Mental Health Nurse, you will provide specialist nursing expertise within a multidisciplinary team, delivering comprehensive mental health assessments and evidence-based interventions that support recovery and wellbeing. You will integrate physical health screening into mental health care and collaborate with primary care and other services.
This role is a part-time 30 hours/week, 12-month fixed term position (to 30 June 2027) with potential extension. The service operates Monday–Friday, with some extended hours up to 7pm on two days per week.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver brief, evidence-based mental health nursing interventions (individual and group)
* Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments
* Contribute to recovery-focused wellbeing plans
* Integrate physical health screening and monitoring into care
Skills & Experience
You will have:
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1), Credentialed Mental Health Nurse status with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (or application in progress)
* Experience conducting mental health assessments and collaborative care planning
* Demonstrated ability to deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions
* Understanding of the biological, psychological and social determinants of mental health
