Launceston General Hospital is the principal referral hospital for Northern Tasmania, providing a broad range of specialist services to the community.
Paediatric Outpatient Services is a dynamic, multidisciplinary and collaborative outpatient environment, delivering care to children and young people aged 0–18 years. The team works closely with internal and external partners across Women's and Children's Services and the broader community to support coordinated, family‐centred care.
The Role
As the Allied Health Lead – Paediatrics, you will provide day‐to‐day leadership and coordination of a multidisciplinary Allied Health outpatient team. Working closely with medical, nursing and administrative colleagues, you will help shape how services operate, support staff, and lead improvements that make a meaningful difference to patient care and service delivery.
Responsibilities
* Leading and supporting a multidisciplinary Allied Health team in an outpatient setting
* Acting as a key point of contact between Allied Health, medical, nursing and administrative teams
* Managing day‐to‐day operational issues to support safe and efficient service delivery
* Supporting staff onboarding, orientation and ongoing development
* Using service data to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement
* Contributing to quality, safety and governance activities
* Leading or supporting service improvement and change initiatives
This role would suit senior Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Dietitians, Social Workers, Psychologists, or other Allied Health professionals who bring strong leadership capability, irrespective of discipline background.

Details of Appointment
Permanent, part‐time, day worker, position working 30.4 hours per fortnight commencing ASAP (hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant).

Salary
$123,717 to $134,336 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022.
Salary Packaging
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. Please note that access to salaries beyond $130,900 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
* Professional Development Allowance of up to $1,000 per annum
