The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to manage the financial operations of our business. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of key financial functions and support strategic decision-making across the company.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger management
* Prepare monthly and annual financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
* Manage tax compliance, BAS, FBT, and other statutory reporting requirements
* Support project costing and provide financial analysis for operational and capital expenditure
* Collaborate with department heads to improve cost control and operational efficiency
* Maintain and improve internal controls and financial systems
* Liaise with external auditors, banks, and tax agents
About You
* CPA qualified (or working towards)
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior accounting role
* Prior experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is highly regarded
* Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and job/project costing
* Proficient in accounting software (e.g. MYOB or ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel
* Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
