Reporting to the Country Manager (APAC). The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Warehouse and Yard. Ensuring stock is Stored, Processed, Booked in, Dispatched or Recycled in a timely manner in accordance with Health and Safety requirements.
Specific responsibilities
- Coordinate the movement of stock within the warehouse to effectively manage space and make recommendations to the Country Manager (APAC) for any new processes and procedures which will optimise the operation.
- Maintain active and on-going communication with the Country Manager (APAC) and Warehouse Operatives to coordinate daily operations.
- Operate and drive the forklift truck to assist placement of incoming stock to the correct area.
- Oversee receive and sortation operations to ensure incoming goods are correctly allocated for booking in or recovery making sure all pallets are labelled with the correct purchase order numbers.
- Ensure warehouse operations are carried out safely. Ensuring that the health and safety policy and procedures are adhered to including but not limited to PPE and safe working procedures.
- Liaising with the QHSE Advisor (UK) to ensure that all warehouse tasks/operations are covered under risks assessments and inform QHSE when new risk assessments are required.
- Ensuring all plant equipment (including but not limited to Forklifts, racking and tools) are well maintained and suitable for use. Quarantining any items which are unsafe and making recommendations to the Country Manager (APAC) for replacement.
- Management of Inbound / Outbound stock, Sortation of goods, Booking in of goods, Dispatching of goods, Recycling of goods.
- Managing Warehouse Operatives non-performance and escalating issues of non-performance to the Country Manager (APAC).
- Attend meetings and actively contribute.
- Liaise with Country Manager (APAC) and staff to ensure security of warehouse facilities.
- Assisting in other Warehouse duties and areas when required.
Other
- Responsible for personal Health and Safety and operating in a manner which is safe personally and for others.
- Follow all companies Policies and Procedures including but not limited to Quality, Health and Safety, Environment and Information Security.
- The role is also expected to perform any reasonable requests which are not defined but in the ability of the individual.
